Venom Let there be Carnage Release Date in India
It is now confirmed by Sony Pictures India that ‘Venom: Let there be Carnage’ or Venom 2 release date in India is 14 October 2021.
This will be the third superhero movie this year to have a theatrical release in our country after DC’s The Suicide Squad and Marvel’s Shang-Chi.
Note: Venom 2 will release in Maharastra on 22 October, because movie theatres are opening on that day in the state.
It was the original release date for the movie before the release of Shang-Chi. But after the success of Shang-Chi in many countries, Sony moved the release to October 1 in the USA. But they are not doing that for India and some other countries like the UK. I explained that later in this article.

‘Venom: Let there Carnage’ is a sequel to the original Venom (2018) movie and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Michelle Williams as Ann Weying, Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage.
The initial reviews for the movie are also great. Critics praised its dark tone, fun humour segments, and Tom Hardy’s acting. The movie has 1 important post-credit scene for fans. The official runtime is 1 hour 30 minutes.
Venom 2 release in Hindi Dub?
Yes, Venom 2 will be dubbed in Hindi. It is also confirmed by Sony Pictures India. ‘Venom Let there be Carnage’ will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages in India. This is confirmed via their official social media account as well.
Some fans prefer regional languages dubbing for Hollywood movies, so, it is good news for them.
This is great news because many fans love to watch Hollywood movies in regional languages.
It is confirmed that the highly-anticipated Dune will be also released in Hindi in India.
3D and IMAX Update
Venom 2 will release in 3D and IMAX in India as well on October 14. The movie is post-converted in 3D. And while the movie is not shot with IMAX cameras, the aspect ratio is similar to the IMAX ratio. So, it might feel better usually in those theatres.
Also, if your theatre is of a 2:39:1 ratio, you will see black bars on the left and right sides of the main movie footage, since Venom 2 is in a 1:85:1 ratio.
Why Venom 2 is releasing late in India?
‘Venom: Let there be Carnage’ will release 2 weeks later in India than the US. Many Indian fans are not happy with this new release date since they will have to wait a little longer.

However, let’s find out Why they might be doing a late release of Venom 2 in India?
One reason might be that the Indian festival Dussehra is on October 15, one day after release, and they want to release this movie on a holiday to increase ticket sales since people will be more willing to spend money during that time.
The second reason might be that Movie theatres and Multiplexes are still not open in many parts of our country. While Shang-Chi box-office crossed ₹20 Crores in India. I think Sony is looking for a late release in hope that more theatres will be open during mid-October.
And the last reason might be that the James Bond movie ‘No time to Die’ is also releasing on September 30 and they don’t want to clash with that big-budget movie. It will be bad for the box offices of both the movies since most people will choose to watch only one of them that week.
Don’t know if they will change the release date after Indian fans’ outcry, but I think people should be happy that at least they are able to watch this movie in theatres. However, the late release will definitely affect its box-office collection in India.
