Released during festive Dussehra weekend, ‘Venom: Let there be Carnage’ made records in the Indian market. Venom 2 box office collection in India is ₹23.3 Crores.
The movie was released in India on October 14. This movie is distributed by Sony Pictures India in our country. It had a record-breaking opening in India. It collected ₹12.2 Crores in its first weekend.

The last big blockbuster superhero movie ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ was also a big success. Shang-Chi box-office collection in India was more than ₹20+ Crores, even when it was released earlier in September.
Sony’s next movie Spider-Man No Way Home also had a great collection at the Indian box office.
This terrific Venom 2 collection in India can be attributed to the fact that it was out during the festival time. The movie was released on Thursday, Dusshera was on Friday, and then Saturday & Sunday were office holidays. This 4-day long weekend gave it a great boost.
Also, it got little to no competition in India because there was no major big Indian movie release from Bollywood or South industry.
Venom 2 was also released in 3D and IMAX, along with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions. This was a big factor in this amazing Venom 2 box-office collection in India.
Keep in mind that the Box-office collection will get much higher as soon as it is released in Maharashtra. Venom 2 will be released in Maharashtra on October 22, because movie theatres are allowed to reopen from that week in the state.
Mumbai is a big revenue source since it is the entertainment hub of the country. While Maharashtra is the biggest state for the movies’ business, a one-week delayed-release will definitely affect its final collection. It will also open in Kerala in late October.
Venom 2 Collection Worldwide
Venom 2 broke records in the US market as well. The movie opened with $90 Million figures at the domestic box office, the biggest collection since March 2020. This beats MCU’s Black Widow and Shang-Chi for the first-weekend record for 2021.
The final worldwide collection of Venom 2 currently stands at $501 Million. The other countries where it got good results are Russia, Mexico and South Korea.
It will be released in some countries later this year, so the final collection is expected to increase significantly. However, it is difficult to beat its predecessor Venom (2018) ’s $856 Million box-office juggernaut.
‘Venom: Let there be Carnage’ is directed by Andy Serkis and written by Kelly Marcel. The cast includes Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson.
