Based on the 2019’s horror novel, The Cabin at the End of the World, this is a horror-thriller story by Paul G. Tremblay.
Knock At The Cabin will release in India on 03 February 2023. It is directed by M Night Shyamalan. This will be his second film with Universal Pictures after Old (2021).
The movie stars Dave Bautista in the lead role, with Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, Kristen Cui, and Rupert Grint (Ron in Harry Potter).
The plot looks interesting and fits Shyamalan’s style of filmmaking. That’s why it has got positive reviews from critics. Here is the official trailer:
So, if you are a fan of twist endings, then this might be a great fit for you. But don’t forget that it has got an A certificate from the Indian film certification board.
Will it be in Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu?
Knock At The Cabin will not release in Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu. The only way to watch it is in the original English language only.
It is also a quite smaller movie compared to mega action flicks like Avengers or Avatar that are popular in the country. Maybe that is the reason behind no dubbing. But maybe they will do it when it comes out on OTT?
OTT Streaming Update
As we know that it is getting distributed by Universal Pictures, so it will definitely go to Peacock for its digital release. But we don’t have that platform yet. So, where can we watch it?
Knock At The Cabin will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India. The exact date is yet to be revealed and will be done after it completes its theatrical run. Prime has been the main OTT platform for Univeral Pictures here for the past few months.
Some of their past films like Jurassic World Dominion and Minions Rise of The Gru are also available on the same.

M Night Shyamalan is a visionary director who is known for his super unusual stories. His movies like Unbreakable, Split and The Sixth Sense have grown an audience for him over the past 20 years.
So, when he got attached to this novel-based movie, it became an exciting project for 2023. He choose Dave Bautista after he saw his performance in Blade Runner 2049. One more big fact about this film is that the initial draft was said to be one of the best screenplays ever.
While the reviews are not that great, it is still a good movie in Shyamalan’s filmography after the mixed reception he got for some of his past films.
Also, Knock At The Cabin is just 100 minutes long, which might be a good runtime for this genre, which is in decline at tough times for oscar-type of cinema.
