Avatar The Way of Water release date in India
After 13 years, we are again going back to the magical world created by Director James Cameron.
The release date of Avatar The Way of Water in India is 16 December 2022. This is the same time when it will premiere in the USA, Canada, and the UK. It is an official sequel to the 2009’s Avatar film.

And one piece of advice for whoever is interested, the runtime is 3 hours and 12 minutes long, so eat more before entering the cinema and drink less.
Advance Ticket Booking
Now that all big Hollywood movies are becoming so hyped among Indian audiences, these studios understood that people are willing to book their seats in the theatres as soon as possible.
The Advance ticket booking had already begun in India on 22 November 2022. Tickets in most major cities are now open and soon they will be for all locations in the country.
We recommend you watch Avatar The Way of Water in IMAX or at least in 3D to get immersed in this fantastic experience, once in a lifetime.
Hindi dubbing update
It is confirmed that Avatar The Way of Water will release in 6 languages in India: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. This is announced by 20th Century Studios and tickets are out for all of them.

Avatar 2 on OTT streaming
Now that we know that 20th Century Fox was bought by Walt Disney, we have this question already answered. But in the USA, HBO MAX will also stream it for a limited period of time, due to a previous deal.
Avatar The Way of Water will be streaming in India on Disney+ Hotstar from 7 June 2023. It will be released in all the main 6 Indian languages. Hotstar is the official OTT platform since Avatar 1 is already available there.

About the Movie
Avatar was the brainchild of James Cameron and when the first film got this huge success, he already has a plan for 2 more new adventures in this storyline.
But he waited for more VFX development and finally started shooting it in 2017 with performance capture and later in live-action. It took a long time in production but finally, they stamped the premiere for holiday in 2022.
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Stephen Lang will return to their original roles, with Sigourney Weaver will be back in a new character. They will be joined by Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, and Jemaine Clement.
Finally, we should take a look at the official synopsis of the film (avatar.com): “Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.”
