David Harbour, Jim Hopper from Stranger Things & Red Guardians from Marvel’s Black Widow, is now coming to you as Santa Claus.
Violent Night will release in India on 02 December 2022. It is premiering on the same date in the USA as well. The story is about Santa Claus facing a group of bad people who came to rob a wealthy family.
Will the saint Nick be able to save them? Then you have to your nearby theatres to enjoy it. Here is the official trailer:
It also got an A certificate from the film certification board, so, it is not something you should watch with your kids. As you can see from the trailer, this is going to be an R-rated action-packed movie.
Currently, it only gets limited shows at the India box office, so book the tickets accordingly.
The reviews are also quite positive, praising the action and fun element of the storyline, making it very special for these holidays.
But if you want something more on the lighter side, there is also Guardians of the Galaxy streaming on Hotstar.
Will it release in Hindi?
No, it will not. Violent Night will only be available in English. It is distributed in India by Universal Pictures. Looks like due to a lack of hype in the region, they are not going to dub it in local languages.
While David Harbour is very popular there because of his role as Jim Hopper, maybe it will fill some seats in the theatres here.
When will it be streaming?
There is no official confirmation on which OTT platform will it be streaming on. But since Universal Pictures is distributing it worldwide, there is a high chance that will probably land on Peacock in the USA.
But that is not available in our country, so where can we watch it?
Most likely, Violent Night will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India. Most of the Universal movies are already there.

About the movie
Directed by Tommy Wirkola and based on an original screenplay by Pat Casey & Josh Miller, this movie is produced by 87North Productions. This is from the same studios that gave us Nobody (2021) and Bullet Train (2022).
Now they brought us Santa with his Nice and Naughty list. We always have some family-friendly stories during the holidays, but this is very different from all of them. There is also a good amount of comedy here as well.
It stars David Harbour in the lead role, with John Leguizamo as Scrooge, Cam Gigandet, Beverly D’Angelo, Edi Patterson, Brendan Fletcher, Alex Hassell, and Leah Brady.
The official runtime of the film is 1 hour and 56 minutes.
