Ubreathe on Shark Tank India
If are you suffering from the effects of air pollution, then this nature-based solution might be interesting to you.
Here are the key details about their pitch on Shark Tank:
Name | Urban Air Labs |
Founders | Sanjay Maurya, Akhil Gupta, Akshay Goyal, Inderjeet Rao |
Episode | Season 02 Episode 32 |
Ask | ₹1.5 Crore for 7.5% Equity |
Deal | ₹50 Lakhs for 5% Equity + Debt |
Shark | Namita Thapar |
Status | In-business |
Ubreathe has invented some amazing Air Purifiers using their Breathing Roots Technology. As we know, most Indian cities are more polluted than normal and everyone wants clean air around them, especially in their home. Ubreathe can help you with that.
They have 3 different variants: Mini, Life & Wall. Ubreathe Life is best for a normal household, which you can purchase from Amazon (*Affiliate Link):

The ask was for ₹1.5 Crore for 7.5% Equity. They want to make it the next big Research and Innovation powerhouse to solve the air quality problem.
However, there was a big elephant in the room. Their experiment to show that their product works failed. Their sales for FY 2021-22 were ₹47 lakhs, which was not a good number.
That made the valuation more of a roadblock for the sharks. And then, the high price of the product was the final nail in the coffin.
Because of all those reasons, Anupam, Vineeta, Peyush, and Aman didn’t make any offers. But then Namita came as a savior, who wants to contribute to their environmental cause, as she did with Daily Dump on Shark Tank. She made a generous offer.
The negotiation started, and the pitchers were almost not, but other sharks convinced them to really consider it.
Here is a sneak peek at this pitch:
Namita Thapar invested in Ubreathe on Shark Tank India with ₹50 Lakhs for 5% Equity and an additional ₹1 Crore in Debt.
About The Founders
Sanjay Maurya, Akhil Gupta, Akshay Goyal, and Inderjeet Rao are the 4 co-founders of Ubreathe. The official name of the company is Urban Air Labs, situated in Gurgaon, Haryana.
However, only Sanjay came to pitch on the show with his Head of Research Shubham Singh. Shubham is an IIT Ropar alumni, where the startup is incubated.
On the other hand, Sanjay Maurya did his Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and MBA from FMS Delhi. In between his studies, he was the founding team member of Autoninja for 3 years.
After Shark Tank Updates
After the episode aired, they gave some amazing combo offers to celebrate the deal with Namita Thapar.
By the way, other businesses featured in this episode were Pabiben, Homestrap, and Deyor.
At last, you can look at their official company pitch: “Urban Air Labs has the vision to create a future where everyone has means to maintain healthy and pure environments for themselves. We believe that the real magic happens at the unique intersection of nature, design, and engineering. So, we leverage all three dimensions to develop innovative & sustainable solutions to solve the air quality challenge, particularly indoors.”
