The entrepreneurs were ready to give 5% of the startup for ₹50 lakhs, to get the expertise of the Sharks.

When the products were handed to sharks, they all liked the taste, packaging, and pricing. But they were still new to this highly-competitive market with just ₹56 lakhs in sales before the show. They were also losing money at that stage.

The Healthy Binge has built its own ISO-certified manufacturing facility with food technologists to develop new items in the future. They invested around ₹1 crore on that, to make their unique snacks.

Still, Anupam thought that it was not so difficult to replicate their process. But pitchers said that they believe that no one can copy what they are doing.

Watch the sneak peek of their pitch:

One of their big competitors was Green Snack Co, which also appeared on Shark Tank before them in the same season, and got a deal with Vineeta Singh.

Peyush was first to invest exactly what was asked, but he wanted Aman to join hands. Aman was ready and advised them to make smaller packets, as he did with Kerala Banana Chips in last season, and sell on quick commerce.

The Healthy Binge closed the deal with Peyush Bansal and Aman Gupta on Shark Tank India for ₹50 Lakhs in exchange for 5% equity.

About The Founders

Pranav and Karan Korke are the co-founders of The Healthy Binge. It is part of True Agroroots Pvt Ltd. Their factory is just located outside of Pune, Maharashtra.

Pranav was working in Australia as Finance Manager but he always wanted to come back to India and start his own journey. His father-in-law was an agriculturist and there he saw the opportunity to make snacks out of our desi millets.

Then, he shared this with his cousin Karan, who has experience in IT and marketing, to make it a full-fledged business.

After Shark Tank Updates

The co-founders were happy with the investment and they gave a 5% discount for a limited on their website.

By the way, other businesses featured in this episode were iMumz and Freakins.

In the end, you can check their official company pitch: “Dredged from the depths of genius, came the idea for a snack that encompasses the goodness of all the healthy-but-bland foods and the palette of all the delicious-but-bad foods; and lo and behold; The Healthy Binge was born! Chock-full of a commendable nutrient profile that provides myriad health benefits, and three different scrumptious flavors.
