The Batman release date in India

Wait no more, Vengance is here. The Batman release date in India is 04 March 2022. But there are some special screenings happening before. Where?

Warner Bros India is also holding some special shows one day earlier on 03 March, only in IMAX theatres. These are currently only available in the following cities: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Lucknow.

Does The Batman have an IMAX ratio?

While this film is having early IMAX screenings, there is an important update you should also note.

The Batman movie does not have any IMAX ratio scenes. Complete footage is in the general 2.39:1 ratio, not in any expanded 1.85:1 or 1.43:1 aspect ratios.

However, you will definitely get a good picture and audio quality on these screens.

The Batman in 3D or 2D?

Bad news for some Indian moviegoers. The Batman is not converted in 3D format.

So, you can only watch it in 2D, IMAX 2D and 4DX (without 3D). Many Indians love 3D movies, so this might be a bit upsetting news.

Hindi dubbed update & artist

DC and Warner Bros were once criticized for not dubbing their movies in local languages in India. But this is changing.

It is confirmed that The Batman will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

And you might have noticed that Dark Knight’s voice has changed. Sanket Mhatre is the Hindi dubbing artist for Bruce Wayne in this latest 2022’s Batman movie. He already confirmed it on Instagram:

Sanket is previously known for dubbing Ben 10 animated series, Deadpool (2016) and Shazam(2019) in Hindi. But this news is getting mixed reactions

This is because, before him, Samay Raj Thakkar had been the main Hindi voice for Batman and become iconic for this superhero among Hindi fans. He has dubbed for Christian Bale and Ben Affleck’s Batman before.

But since this is going to be a younger version of Batman, I think we should accept this change. Sanket is definitely a top-rated voiceover artist and he will give his best for this role.

Where is The Batman coming to OTT in India?

You will not have to wait long for this film to come to small screens. It will be released within 45 days on HBO MAX in the USA. But that is not available in India. So, on which OTT platform will it lands in the country?

The Batman will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India. The streaming date of 27 July is also confirmed by the OTT platform. It will also be dubbed in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

This is because recent Warner Bros movies like The Suicide Squad and Godzilla vs Kong were also released on this service recently.

About The Movie

This movie has been a long story of development. After Ben Affleck left the director’s seat for his own Batman movie, Matt Reeves took his place. He then pitched a completely new Batman movie with Twilight actor Robert Pattinson.

While he was trolled first, the first trailer completely blew the fans away. That is why this movie is so hyped right now.

And don’t forget, this will also introduce Catwoman and Penguin in supporting roles. The Riddler is going to be the main villain played by Paul Dano.

Also, the runtime of the movie is around 2 hours and 56 minutes, which makes it the second-longest Superhero movie after ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (we are not counting Zack Snyder’s cut for Justice League).
