Napoleon movie Release Date in India
When a movie is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Joaquin Phoenix as a King, it becomes a must-see movie.
The official release date of the Napoleon movie in India is 24 November 2023. It will be available in English and Hindi languages. However, the UK and USA premiere is set for 2 days earlier on 22 November.

This is because Thanksgiving is on the 23rd, so maybe the distributors want to take advantage of the long holiday weekend. But in India, it will be a standard Friday to watch it.
Talking about the reviews, they are generally positive. Critics are praising the acting by Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby, along with action setpieces, but there are a few concerns as well on its lengthy runtime with more focus on the love story.
Also, the dubbing of Tamil and Telugu is not yet confirmed for the theatrical exhibition. But maybe when bringing it to OTT, those language options might be added. So, when is that going to happen?
OTT Streaming Update
The official streaming platform of the Napoleon movie worldwide will be Apple TV+. Apple Studios is the main producer of the film. The streaming premiere date is yet to be announced.
The streaming release might be also more longer cut. Director Ridley Scott talked about a 4-hour-long director cut of Napoleon that will be exclusive for home release.
However, there is still a little chance that maybe a local OTT service might want to get the rights of the film. Let’s see if that happens or not.
By the way, another of Apple’s original films that has come out close to it is Killers of The Flower Moon which will also land on Apple TV+.
Will it be formatted for IMAX?
Yes, Napoleon will be presented on the big IMAX screen as well but there will be no expanded aspect ratio. Still, it will be a good choice because of the amazing visual contrast and sound quality. However, they are also formatting it for 70mm theatres and ScreenX.
There will be no 3D release for the Napoleon movie. We recommend going for either IMAX or regular good old Dolby.
Is Napoleon movie rated R?
The Napoleon movie starring Joaquin Phoenix is rated R in the USA for strong violence, intimate scenes, and some grim shots.
It also got an A certificate in India, meaning you have to be 18 years or older to watch it in theatres. The age restriction is also set for 15 years in the UK and Australia. Overall, this film is not something made for kids.

Any history or cinema buff will get excited by the fact that this tells the story of Napoleon. Ridley Scott is ready to showcase the life of a person whose name is etched in history.
A lot of people will also be interested to see Joaquin Phoenix reprise such a big character, after his Oscar-winning performance in DC’s Joker. Still, the runtime is quite long, about 2 hours and 40 minutes, so make sure you are well-seated.
