The Hero of the Movie
The main actor or the superhero of Minnal Murali was Tovino Thomas. He had a dual role in the movie, he played the role of ‘Jaison‘, a normal tailor who got struck by lightning and then got superpowers.
His second role was Jaison’s father Martin, who was a theatre artist and whose story inspired his son to become a saviour for his village.
Tovino really did justice to both the roles. He is one of the best actors in the Malayalam Industry, known for giving extra effort to all of his performances, especially in movies like ABCD (2013), 7th Day (2014), Kalki (2019) and Virus (2019).
Minnal Murali Actress
Femina George is the main actress in Minnal Murali. Her character was named ‘Biji‘ who was the karate master in the movie. Interestingly, this was her debut film also.

A fun story is that she saw a post on Instagram about this audition where they were looking for a girl who knew karate. That’s when she went into 2-weeks of training to prepare for it. We expect that she will have a longer screen time in the sequel.
The other two supporting actresses in the movie were Sneha Babu who played ‘Bincy’ (Jaison’s first girlfriend) and Shelly Kishore who played ‘Usha’ (villain Shibu’s love interest). Shelly was previously famous as the lead star in the Malayalam TV serial ‘Kumkumapoovu’.
Who played the villain role in the movie?
Guru Somasundaram is the actor who played the villain role ‘Shibu’ in this movie. His evil portrayal was admired by fans so much that some said that he was the best part of the story.
Talking the actor, Guru started his film career in 2011 with ‘Aaranya Kaandam‘, where his performance was appraised by many critics. Some of the best movies of his career are Jigarthanda (2014), Joker (2016) and Jai Bhim (2021).
Who is the kid in Minnal Murali?
The kid character was loved by many viewers for the comedy and connection with the hero. That kid in Minnal Murali was played by Vasisht Umesh. His character was called ‘Josemon’ who was Jaison’s nephew in this story.
