The revenue was around ₹11 lakhs in the first 9 months only, with a margin of around 40-50%. They sell via their website and on Nykaa Fashion.
The entrepreneur asked for ₹25 lakhs in exchange for 10% equity. She wants to add new products and increase the marketing spend on Social Media and SEO.
Ashneer was not convinced with how she will defend her product when people will start copying it. Aman was out because he thinks that the startup was not investable right now. Namita said that this product was not suitable for the wide Indian market.
On the other side, Vineeta and Anupam seemed quite interested. They liked that she wanted to add new products and create a niche on its own. They believed in the vision and offered her money for 40% equity.
After negotiating, sharks Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal closed the deal for a 30% stake in the startup for ₹25 lakhs.
