Minnal Murali Release Date & Time in India
Minnal Murali will be released in India on 24 December 2021 on Netflix. That will be a Friday. The expected release time is 1:30 PM in the afternoon.
This will make it a great Christmas gift from Netflix to Kerala and Indian fans since it will release exactly on Christmas Eve.

It also premiered at the Jio MAMI festival on December 16. The initial reviews are out on December 22 and say that it is an action-packed comedy flick with an emotional storyline also.
Theatrical release in Kerala?
Unfortunately, Minnal Murali will not be released in movie theatres in Kerala. It will be only available for streaming online.
‘Minnal Murali’ was initially planned for a theatrical release when it began shooting in 2019. It was expected to come out on Onam 2020.

But due to the closing of theatres in 2020 & 2021, especially in Kerala, (Kerala opened its theatres later in October 2021), the release date was delayed many times.
But then, Netflix India acquired movie rights in September 2021. Now it will be directly released on their OTT platform.
OTT Platform?
As mentioned above, Minnal Murali will be available in India on the Netflix streaming service. It is rumoured that Netflix paid around ₹35-40 crores for the streaming rights.
You can watch it in any subscription plan of Netflix, even a new plan starting from ₹149 per month.
Will it be dubbed in Hindi or Tamil?
Netflix India is encouraging a wide reach for this movie. Minnal Murali is officially getting dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, along with its original Malayalam language release. This will definitely make it accessible for many fans in the country.

Not only southern states, but superhero fans all around India are also excited about this new desi superhero. The first trailer has also crossed 10 million views on Youtube. It shows the hype for this new superhero.
About the Movie
Kerala is getting their own superhero with ‘Minnal Murali’. This will be the first superhero movie in the Malayalam industry. Tovino Thomas will lead as the titular character. He will reunite with director Basil Joseph after ’Godha’ for this venture.
Guru Somasundaram and Aju Varghese also joined the cast later. Actress Femina Geroge will make her debut here as well.
It is expected to be a major Indian VFX-heavy feature film in India also. Expect good action and visual effects scenes. The runtime is around 2 hours and 39 minutes, which looks a bit lengthy, but this also includes 6 original songs in it.
A Fun Fact is that it is interestingly listed as a ‘Comedy’ on Netflix. Even Tovino confirmed that it is a Comedy-genre movie first, then a superhero story.
Now, we are waiting for 24 December. After ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero‘ (2018) and ‘Mard ko Dard Nahi Hota‘ (2019), this looks like a promising effort in the Superhero genre in India. Also, Amazon Prime’s Wheel of Time will premiere its finale on the same day.
If it gets a great reception from viewers, this movie might result in a possible superhero movie series with sequels and spin-offs in future.
