After 11 years, MCU has now finally cast an Indian actor in their franchise. Harish Patel will be the first Indian actor in MCU Marvel movies.
The actor was first spotted by fans in a Marvel movies teaser video, and he has officially confirmed to IndianExpress that “Yes, the man you saw in the teaser is me.”
Which Marvel movie is Harish Patel in? Harish Patel will appear in the ‘Eternals’ movie. It is the 26th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Many desi fans were amazed at this casting, watching the first Bollywood actor in this series. He also told in an interview that Salma Hayek was the first cast member to congratulate him on this role.
Harish Patel was also once a known Bollywood supporting actor from Mumbai. He has appeared in several Bollywood movies like Mandi, Gunda, Mr India, Andaz Apna Apna, Mohra etc. But he is most popular for his character of ‘Ibu Hatela‘ in the 1998’s Gunda film.
He then went to Hollywood and appeared in some popular movies like Run Fatboy Run and All in Good Time & TV shows like The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
He also acted in the National Academy of the UK. Harish also said that it was because of the foreign projects that he got a role in this blockbuster movie and not his Bollywood career.

Fans have speculated about his role before. It is now confirmed that Harish Patel will play the role of Karun in Eternals. He is the manager and cameraman of Kingo, a superhero who is also a Bollywood star in this universe.
Karun in Eternals is a very minor but important role as confirmed by the actor. However, the director Chloe Zhao said that his role might turn into a fan favourite.

Kumail Nanjiani is the actor cast as Kingo. He is a Pakistani-American comedian and actor who is known for the HBO series Silicon Valley. Harish once told Kumail that he is not so fluent in English but everybody in the cast was so humble about it.
He has also said that he didn’t know most of the actors in the movie except Angelina Jolie. He also knew nothing about the Marvel universe before and admitted that it will be his MCU movie that he will watch.
While Harish will be the first actor in the MCU movies, he will not be the only one right now. It is also rumoured that Farhan Akhtar will appear in Ms Marvel, which is a Disney+ series, is also set in this franchise.
There were also rumours that Fawad Khan might also make a cameo in this series. This Ms Marvel show also has one more Indian actor who is already confirmed.
Mohan Kapoor will appear as Yusuf Khan, father of titular superhero Kamala Khan. Mohan Kapur is already known among Indian superhero fans as the Hindi dubbing artist for Doctor Strange, Red Skull & Bane.
