Waggy Zone on Shark Tank India
Everyone loves ice-creams, but also dogs? A new businesswoman thinks that is YES.
Here are the key details about their pitch on Shark Tank:
Name | Waggy Zone |
Founder | Darshan Kaur Khalsa |
Episode | Season 2 Episode 44 |
Ask | ₹50 Lakhs for 5% Equity |
Deal | No Deal |
Sharks | NA |
Status | In-business |
Waggy Zone manufactures ice cream premix for dogs and cats. Just add water and freeze it. All these products are without Milk and Sugar. Many online and offline pet stores also carry it.
They have 6 different flavors, including Mango, blueberry, banana, and Aquamelon. The best way to try them all is by getting a 6 pack from Amazon (*Affiliate Link):

The founder wanted ₹50 lakhs for 5% from the sharks. Her vision is to make it a regular treat among all pet owners in India.
The ice cream is tasty for sure but the price was premium. Aman thought that it is too high to get wide distribution. Vineeta advised directly that the packaging can be simplified to reduce the MRP.
Still, Aman thought that Pet Market is big but most people only spend on dog & cat food and a bit on toys. So, just selling ice cream treats will be that big of a game.
The sales for FY 2021-22 were ₹24 lakhs. That kind of proves what Anupam was saying. He even said that it is just a hobby, not a proper business. He was out and Aman & Namita were too.
However, Peyush advised focusing on the international market where she can sell for less in western countries.

About The Founder
Darshan Kaur Khalsa is the founder of Waggy Zone. The parent company is SS ZeroZone, located in Maharashtra.
Darshan has a marketing degree from the HR College of Commerce and Economics. Then, she helped in her family business, SS ZeroZone, serving as Sales Rep for HORECA, before doing something of her own.
She has two dogs, Tyra & Zeus, who usually skip eating during summers and season changes. Her doctor said that Ice-Creams is something that the pets will like, but that is not 100% safe.
So, she created a special treat for dogs and cats that is healthy also. Her dogs loved it. Now, she wanted to share this amazing food item with the rest of the pet parents, and this is how Waggy Zone started.
After Shark Tank Updates
The Waggy Zone ice cream is also listed on the Paws India website, another startup that is presented on the Tank.
According to the founder, they will launch fresh food, treats, and supplements for pets soon.
By the way, other businesses featured in this episode were Healthy Master Snacks, Kitsons Stationery, and London Bubble Co Pancake Mixes.
In the end, we have the official product pitch here: “Waggy Zone makes ice creams for pets that are healthy and safe. It has no added preservatives, is lactose-free and sugar-free, and made with natural fruit powder and coconut milk powder.”
