Peacemaker Season 2 Release Schedule in India
Peacemaker Season 2 is now streaming on JioHotstar. The first episode released on 22 August 2025 in India.
While the official premiere date is set for 21 August worldwide, Indians got it on 22 August due to time difference. That’s why US is getting in on Thursdays, while we will get new episodes on Fridays.
US Release Time: Every Thursday 9:00 PM ET.
India Release Time: Every Friday 6:30 AM*
*The exact time posted on JioHotstar is 6:35 AM, because there might be some tiny technical delay in making the episodes live on the streaming service.
There are 8 episodes in total in 2nd season of DC’s Peacemaker. And since James Gunn confirmed that only one episode will drop every week, that means the finale will be on 10 October. So binge-watchers, now you know when to start binging!
Peacemaker Season 1 is also now available on JioHotstar. Remember that it was not released officially in India when it came out in 2022. They later gave local rights to Amazon Prime Video here. However, now it’s back to Hotstar.
The good news is that they have done Hindi dubbing for this old season too.
Hindi Dubbing also done by JioHotstar
Sometimes, these Hollywood studios underestimate the importance of dubbing in local languages for us desi people. That can increase the reach of the content to a whole new group of people.
That’s why I appreciate JioHotstar, as they know such a big show, with DC Studios in the title and John Cena as the main lead, can be a big hit in the country.

Peacemaker Season 2 will have Hindi and Tamil dubbed tracks available on JioHotstar. Telugu fans are a little angry because most foreign shows usually gets dubbed in their language as well, but they didn’t do it this time. Hopefully, Hotstar will add more language options later.
What to expect from this new season?
Peacemaker season 2 will follow the story of the last one, but with new threats this time, including Multiverse. The show is set after the events of Superman, with many characters from the movie, including Hawkgirl and Green Lantern, making a cameo on the show.
But the main threat is Rick Flag Sr, father of Rick Flag, who is up for revenge as John Cena’s Peacemaker killed his son in The Suicide Squad movie.
This is not all, as James Gunn has promised that there are lots of surprises in the new season, on a much bigger scale. He teased that Episodes 6 and 8 (which he himself directed, with episode 1 too) will have crazy things happening.
More about the Show
Peacemaker was a success from the first day for both DC and HBO. So, they immediately renewed it. However, later the parent company, Warner Bros, went through a major power shakeup, leading to a new strategy for DC content.
Creator of the show, James Gunn, was chosen as the co-head of the newly inaugurated DC Studios. Many fans thought this would lead to a major reboot, but Gunn ultimately decided to keep Peacemaker canon.
He himself wrote all the episode again this time, as well as directed 3 episodes in the new season.
This led to some confusion among fans, but Gunn confirmed that while the show is part of the new DCU, some events might be retconned.
This is exactly what we saw in the first episode of season 2, where he replaced the old Justice League cameo with the new Justice Gang from the Superman.

Peacemaker even made a cameo in the movie.
Critics have watched 5 episdoes of season 2 and gave it a 98% Rotten Tomatoes score. This clearly shows the success streak is going to continue for DC.
