‘Let’s Try Foods’ was founded in 2021. It premiered on the 16th episode of the first season.

Let’s Try are in the business of making healthy Indian style snacks or ‘namkeen’. Whereas most popular snacks use Palm oil, their snacks are made with healthier groundnut oil with no added preservatives.

In the first 7 months, their monthly sales grew from ₹50,000 to ₹16 lakhs. Their gross and net margin are 50% and 25% respectively.

Kalra family (founders) asked for ₹45 lakhs by giving back 2% of their company.


Namita first questioned that their base product is fried which is not healthy at all. Ashneer was also not interested because most of their products are similar to ‘Haldirams’.

However, Anupam was interested and he partnered with Aman for a partial equity-debt offer. But the entrepreneur wanted only an equity deal.

In the end, sharks Anupam Mittal and Aman Gupta closed the deal for ₹45 lakhs for 12% equity.

Nitin Kalra and his beautiful family are behind ‘Let’s Try’. The business is based in Delhi. They were previously branded under the ‘Earth Crust’ name.

Nitin Kalra is the main CEO & founder of the company. He did his PGDM from IMT Ghaziabad and had 10+ years of experience in many FMCG companies like ITC, PepsiCo, Future Group and Agrocorp International.


Chitra Gupta is Nitin’s wife who designs the product’s packaging. She was a UX designer before. Neelam Kalra is Nitin’s mother who manages the factory operations.

And last and most important, her sister Geetanjali is the main person behind this because she gave this idea. She creates the final snacks formulas and their mixtures.

After Shark Tank Updates

Now looking at the investors, both the sharks will be very beneficial for this venture. Aman can up their marketing to the next level, while Anupam can organize their operations on the other side.
