The ask was for 30 lakh rupees in exchange for 3% stakes in the startup. He wants to make more SMART gadgets in future that Indian youth need.

Peyush and Anupam asked the entrepreneur whether they should buy a Hammer product or one from boAt (shark Aman’s company)? But he didn’t give a definite answer. Both sharks were unhappy with how the pitcher is not standing up for his own brand.

It looked like the pitcher was only interested in getting shark Aman onboard. Aman said he shouldn’t enter the Audio headphones market at a time when there is a semiconductor shortage in the world.

Anupam advised him to make fewer products and focus on perfecting them, instead of targeting different markets at once. Anupam and Ashneer then offered ₹1 crore for 25% equity. Then, Aman offered to buy the whole company for ₹1 crore.

Ashneer was bidding against him (to get a better offer for the entrepreneur), which led to Aman decreasing the equity ask to 40% only.

In the end, shark Aman Gupta closed the deal for 40% equity against ₹1 crore funding.

About Rohit Nandwani

Rohit Nandwani is the founder and COO of Hammer Lifestyle electronics. He did his BBA from Christ University in 2015. His business is based in Panipat, Haryana.

He previously had 5 years experience as Mobile phones and accessories supplier, under ‘Ringtel Marketing’.

After Shark Tank Updates

Aman Gupta is the best choice for this business. Even we saw that Rohit wanted to partner with shark Aman from the beginning because of his already established success in boAt electronics.

In the future, Rohit wants to expand to the offline market since 85% of its sales is D2C online. And talking about the products, we guess that they will concentrate more on their Smart electric toothbrush:

By the way, other businesses pitched in this episode are PNT Robotics and Cocofit.

At last, let’s look at the official company pitch: “Hammer, India’s first Athleisure tech brand delivers high-quality TWS audio gadgets and fitness bands. Over decades the movement towards Athleisure clothing and devices have given rise to wearables that are contemporary, multifunctional and comfortable yet athletic.
