Dil Foods is a virtual restaurant operator where that partners with other restaurants to use their resources. This is OYO for restaurants.
What happens is when a restaurant connects with Dil Foods, they will be sent pre-packed food. Their job is to recook the food and deliver it to customers online. Dil Foods will pay them for this service, which becomes their additional income.
In this transaction, Dil Foods gets a virtual working restaurant. This way, they don’t have to open any cloud kitchens, they are using other kitchens. That makes it a light Capex business model.
The founder was only ready to give 0.5% shares for ₹50 lakhs. At the time of the show, they have partnered with 65 restaurants with more than 6 crores in revenue for them.
The pitch started with the food tasting and every shark found it delicious. Everyone got a different food item from different parts of India. Above that, the pitcher knew all the numbers on point.
They also focus on adding only those food items that can be regularly eaten by customers.
While the business has money in the bank, what she is looking for in the tank is some sharky expertise. Vineeta saw this with interest and offered the same deal that the founder was asking for. Radhika, Ritesh, and Peyush also wanted to go in with her.
