Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Box Office in India
Tom Cruise is one of the biggest Hollywood stars in the world and Mission Impossible is his main star series. But did the new installment hit the same high mark?
The total box-office collection of ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One’ in India is ₹110 Crores. It is the 7th part of the Mission Impossible series directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The worldwide total is $567 Million.
It was released in India on 12 July 2023. Here is the opening week box-office report for Mission Impossible 7 in India:
- Wednesday: ₹12 Crores
- Thursday: ₹10 Crores
- Friday: ₹9.5 Crores
- Saturday: ₹16 Crores
- Sunday: ₹18 Crores
Since it was released on a Wednesday, it had a longer first weekend. And a good thing was the great reviews it got. The IMAX version of MI 7 contributed a good chunk to it.

Mission Impossible 7 made around ₹18 crores in Mumbai and ₹10 crores in Delhi. This is a popular franchise in India and the studio marketed it very well through social media and ticket booking apps.
The tickets were also priced a bit costlier than usual this time, which was unusual for such a non-superhero story. But the action-packed marketing and star power of Cruise made it enter the ₹100 crore club in India.
Not just that, Hindi dubbing was also preferred by many fans, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities because not any big Hindi or regional films were released on the same date. This is why the screen count was better and it sold a lot of tickets.
Even after Oppenheimer and Barbie premiered the very next week, some local theaters still stayed with Mission Impossible 7 and promoted it because it was more suitable for the Indian audience palette.

But we can’t say the same about the USA collection of Dead Reckoning Part One. The domestic collection started with less than $100 million in the first five days. Then, the Barbenheimer event happened.
Still, we hope it will pass the $500-600 Million worldwide to call it a Big Hit officially. Some moviegoers might watch it in August after Barbie and Oppenheimer because not many new movies are coming up soon.
Mission Impossible 7 OTT Update in India
This is a Paramount Pictures distribution just like Top Gun Maverick. So, we know that Peacock will be its home in the US. But there is still no update about its international streaming yet, but we can guess something.
Mission Impossible 7 Dead Reckoning is streaming on Prime Video India from 11 January 2024. It is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Many previous Paramount ventures including Top Gun Maverick were on Prime Video right now. But JioCinema is acquiring a lot of international content. So, that is also a contender to be its official OTT platform in the country.
