Wol3D on Shark Tank India

3D printing is the future and Wol3D wants to be the first in the country to catch that market.

Wol3D or World of Lilliputs is the biggest consumer 3D printing company in India. From industrial use to make a sample or for kids to experiment, they have printers and pens for both of them.

The ask was for ₹1.5 Crore for just a 1% stake in the business. The money is required to grow it as the biggest 3D printing ecosystem in the country. It will go into expanding the manufacturing facility.

They brought 3D figures of each shark and all appreciated how amazing it was. A big advantage they have is that they make their own filament. Peyush saw a big recurring income in that.

The revenue of FY 2021-22 was ₹19.6 crores where a lot of which came from printers. So, B2B is still their main domain and they buy it for building prototypes. ISRO is also one of their clients and Ola also partnered with them for their electric scooters R&D.

But the profit margin is only 5%, too low for sharks to exit successfully. The future was not so sure. That’s why Anupam and Vineeta were out.

Aman, on the other hand, wanted to invest, but only in the kid’s Pen part. Peyush, however, was interested in the filament side. They had different visions. Pitchers asked both to come together but Peyush revoked his offer.
