Intervue makes technical hiring easy! They are a SaaS-based hiring platform to help shortlist candidates for other companies. They conduct technical interviews with expert engineers to test the skills of candidates.

This is good for the other companies because they can hire faster and save their resources. The expert engineers can earn some extra money besides their jobs.

The biggest USP of Intervue is its standardized platform. The whole process is simplified in their system with full transparency. They even built their exclusive code environment to speed up the process.

The founders were asking for ₹1.5 crores in exchange for a mere 1% equity. The revenue for FY 2022-23 was ₹8.7 crores. The goal is to reach ₹1 billion by delivering the best service in the sector.

One of their customers was Zomato also, whose founder Deepinder Goyal was on the shark panel for this.

All the sharks were impressed by the system they had created and how good the founder Rahul Arora was. That’s why it is said that the team is as important as the product. Only Namita was the one who didn’t believe in the business model.

But the valuation was very high. Deepinder and Aman wanted 10% but the pitcher was not ready for it. Then, only Aman offered the deal.

Aman Gupta invested ₹1.5 crores in Intervue for 2% equity on Shark Tank India.

About Founder Rahul Arora

Rahul Arora is the founder and CEO of Intervue. He started the company with his co-founder Pushpender Rautela.

Rahul studied B.Tech. from DAV University, Jalandhar. He then worked as an engineer for about 8 years in PayTm and Deutsche Telekom. There he met Pushpender and both decided to solve this big issue in the tech industry.

He faced this problem when he had to spare time for conducting interviews for the company, instead of doing his core job. He spoke to his peers and found that tech hiring is a mess everywhere.

Intervue started in 2021 when they raised funds from Titan Captial, Kunal Shah (CRED), Brendan Rogers, and Hershel Mehta.

After Shark Tank Updates

Rahul said that the Shark Tank India’s pitch was a great experience for him. He plans to expand to non-technical interviews in the future. Aman also gave him the name ‘Rocket Singh’.

Deepinder advised him to go international to expand their market size.

By the way, other businesses featured in this episode were The Cinnamon Kitchen and WTF Gyms.

Here is what they do: “Intervue allows organizations to save engineering bandwidth by taking up candidate evaluations. Companies give their tech interviews to us. Engineers from known companies take the interviews on our platform & share a recommendation about the candidate. Multiple candidates get interviewed async. bringing the recruiting cycle down from 30 days to 5 days with a recommendation-to-hire ratio as high as 90%.
