‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania’ release date in India is 14 January 2022. That will be a Friday.
While the movie has got a mixed reaction from critics, the fans are still very excited about it. But there is a catch! It will be directly available for streaming at home.
Streaming on which OTT platform in India?
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will be released on the ‘Amazon Prime Video’ OTT platform in India. Sony Pictures did this to make it easy and safer for kids and families to watch it together, without going out of their house.

Sony Pictures Animation chief Kristine Belson said on this news that “we have thrilled audiences and paved the way for so many artists working in CG animation. […] We are thrilled to work with Amazon to bring this film to families everywhere.”
Can you watch it in theatres?
No, Hotel Transylvania 4 movie Transformania will not be released in theatres in any country of the world. It will be only out on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service to watch it at your home.
It was expected to be released in theatres in October 2021 but Sony cancelled the plan and sold it to Amazon Studios.
The 3 movies before it have crossed $1.3 billion in the worldwide collection. So, skipping the theatrical release for this last part of the franchise might have been a big decision for the studio.
Hindi, Tamil & Telugu Dubbing?
Yes, Hotel Transformania is confirmed to be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu when it will be streamed on Prime Video India. Of course, you can watch it in the original English language as well. Recently, Disney’s Encanto was also dubbed in Hindi on Hotstar.

About the Movie
‘Hotel Transylvania: Tranformania’ is the 4th and FINAL instalment in this popular monster-comedy animated series. The first movie was released in 2012 and the next ones were in 2016 & 2018.
The voice cast includes many big Hollywood celebrities: Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi and Kathryn Hahn.
One thing to notice is that Frankenstein’s voice actor is changed, Kevin James is replaced by Brad Abrell. Adam Sandler is also not returning to voice for Dracula.
Finally, here is the official synopsis we got from Sony Pictures: “When Van Helsing’s mysterious invention, the “Monsterfication Ray”, goes haywire, Drac and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny becomes a monster. In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late and before they drive each other crazy.
