Is Gen V related to The Boys?

Gen V is an official spin-off of The Boys franchise. The characters of the series are students of a university run by Vought International The idea is to train and find new superheroes who can join The Seven.

While the main characters are completely new to this universe, there are many existing characters who are part of it. Ashley Barrett, Victoria Neuman, A-Train, The Deep and Soldier-Boy.

A fun thing you can check is that they created a website for The Godolkin University (fictional of course!), the place where this show is set in. They are already becoming meta and that’s what makes this franchise so special. They have a statue of Homelander!

About The Show

Gen V was based on the ‘We Gotta Go Now’ storyline of the Boys comics, which is based on the G-Men, a somewhat parody of X-Men. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke is developing this spin-off along with Craig Rosenberg and Evan Goldberg.

While most of the leading actors are not that well-known, one person you can look out for is Clancy Brown, who is playing Professor Brinkerhoff.

Here is the official synopsis of the series for you to check (amazonstudios.com): “Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes, preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that the stakes are much higher when superpowers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they’re put to the test: Will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?.
