The co-founder brothers were looking for ₹90 lakhs investments in exchange for 1.5% equity. Their father Ishwardas Demla was also there with them.
With more than 1 lakh chairs out, their sales were ₹16 Crores in FY 2021-22, with 60% of it coming from gaming chairs only. But the net profit was around 5% only after taking out marketing and shipping costs.
A big thing we found out about the chair business is that there are only a few manufacturers who are currently not selling directly. Instead, most online brands just resell their products. So, the Cellbell team is an expert in marketing these chairs online.
While everything looks good, sharks still thought that the market is too competitive and if the manufacturer starts their own brand, then Cellbell will suffer. That’s why all of them were out without giving any offer.

Cellbell chairs left the Shark Tank with no deal from any investor. But Peyush suggested they should create a USP in either the product quality or supply chain. Anupam also advised them to work on reducing the price.

Pawan and Chirag Demla are co-founders of Cellbell. Their business is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Pawan Demla studied engineering at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College and has worked as an IT consultant for some other. His brother Chirag is a B.Com graduate from Vivekananda College of Commerce. They both founded it officially in 2014.
