If you loved WandaVision, get ready for VisionQuest, the next chapter in Vision’s journey. Here, I will answer all of your questions about the show.
VisionQuest Release Guide for Indian Fans
1) When is VisionQuest releasing in India? What is the schedule?
VisionQuest will premiere in India on 14 October 2026. The first two episodes are scheduled to arrive on JioHotstar at 6:30 AM IST.
The release date follows the international premiere on Disney+, which takes place on October 13 in the USA. Because of the time difference, Indian viewers will get the series the following morning. This is similar to how we watched DC’s Lanterns series.
VisionQuest will have a total of 8 episodes, unlike WandaVision and Agatha All Along, which each consisted of 9 episodes.
According to the updated release schedule, the shows will follow a double-episode release with single-episode finales.
Here’s the full release schedule in India:
- Episode 1 & 2: 14 October 2026, 6:30 AM
- Episode 3 & 4: 21 October 2026, 6:30 AM
- Episode 5 & 6: 28 October 2026, 6:30 AM
- Episode 7: 4 November 2026, 7:30 AM
- Episode 8: 11 November 2026, 7:30 AM
Note that the release shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM IST for the final two episodes. This change is due to the end of Daylight Saving Time in the US on November 1st, which affects the time difference between the US and India.
The release schedule for VisionQuest is quite unusual compared to how most web series are released today.
Some shows release a single episode every week, keeping viewers engaged throughout the season.
Others premiere with 2 or 3 episodes (like we have seen with Marvel and The Boys) at once before switching to a weekly release schedule for the remaining episodes.
But here, they mixed all up.
Overall, I know it’s confusing, and I would suggest binge-watching it. 11 November is when the finale will drop, so wait a few days after Diwali and watch all episodes at once.
2) Where to watch VisionQuest?
Indian viewers can watch VisionQuest exclusively on JioHotstar.
Hotstar is the home of all Disney+ content, which includes all Marvel movies and shows. Outside India, the show is available on Disney+.
3) In which languages will it be released in India?
JioHotstar has announced that VisionQuest will be available in 4 languages in India: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The English version will feature the original performances of the cast. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions will help more viewers follow the story without relying entirely on subtitles.
The dubbed versions help the series reach a wider audience in the country, especially for a series that deals with complicated Sci-Fi ideas.
The interesting part is that VisionQuest follows the stories of WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Both are streaming on JioHotstar, but are not available in local languages. WandaVision episodes are only available in English, and Agatha All Along was only dubbed in Hindi.
Hotstar has also rated it as U/A 13+, making it suitable for a younger audience also.
4) What is the VisionQuest story about?
VisionQuest follows Vision as he tries to understand himself after being rebuilt and restored with memories from his earlier life.

Vision is now hiding and living a normal life in his human avatar. While searching for a new purpose, he turns to the AI programmes embedded in his system, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and Ultron.
Read the official synopsis:
“Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including Friday, Edith, Jarvis, and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate.”
But things get more complicated when a bounty is placed on Vision. He is forced to go on the run alongside a mysterious boy named Thomas Shepherd, who will later be revealed to be his son.
At its core, VisionQuest explores three major themes: grief, identity, and family.
Grief plays an important role in the story, whether it is Vision dealing with the loss of Wanda or Tommy struggling with the loss of his family.
The second theme is identity. Vision has regained the memories of his former self, but that does not mean he feels the same emotions about those experiences.
Finally, the series explores the meaning of family. Vision’s journey brings him closer to a reunion with his son. Also, Ultron has a complicated, almost father-like connection to him.
5) Is VisionQuest part of a franchise or universe?
We know that it is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But officially, VisionQuest is also the last instalment in the trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.
WandaVision followed Wanda Maximoff as she created an unusual reality around the town of Westview. There, we get introduced to White Vision and Tommy.

Agatha All Along expanded the MCU’s story of magic and revealed Wanda and Vision’s second son, Billy. At the end of the show, Billy sets out to find his father with Agatha’s help. He is also responsible for Tommy’s reincarnation in a new body.
VisionQuest now brings the focus back to Vision himself. We know Vision and his Tommy are here, but we might also see his other son, Billy, and Agatha here too.
6) Who is in the cast?
Paul Bettany returns as Vision, the central character of the series.
James Spader also returns as Ultron, bringing back the voice and personality of the artificial intelligence villain from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The announced cast includes:
- Paul Bettany as Vision
- James Spader as Ultron
- Ruaridh Mollica as Thomas Shepherd
- James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. (Tony Stark’s original AI assistant)
- Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Tony Stark’s last AI assistant)
- Todd Stashwick as Paladin (the villain hunting Vision)
- T’Nia Miller as Jocasta:
- Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. (Spider-Man’s AI assistant that Tony Stark gave him)
- Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer as D.U.M.-E. and U (Tony Stark’s old robots)
As you can see, the story is a lot about Tony Stark’s legacy as well. He created Vision with Bruce Banner, where he merged Ultron and JARVIS’s programming into one.
In the series, the characters live inside a house within Vision’s mind, where he is trying to make sense of his existence and figure out how to move forward with his life.
7) How is Vision still alive in VisionQuest?
This is one of the biggest questions for anyone who watched WandaVision.
Vision met his end in Avengers: Infinity War, but Wanda recreated a version of Vision using her powers in WandaVision.
The series also revealed that SWORD had rebuilt Vision’s original body, creating a new version known as White Vision.
White Vision eventually received the original Vision’s memories and left to discover who he was.
That distinction is important. Receiving memories does not automatically mean that a person has the same personality, emotions, or sense of self as before.
VisionQuest continues from this point. The rebuilt Vision is alive, but he still needs to understand what his restored memories mean for his present identity.
8) Will Wanda appear in VisionQuest?
Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, is closely connected to Vision’s story. Naturally, many Marvel fans want to know whether she will return in VisionQuest.
However, Wanda’s appearance has not been officially confirmed. Her involvement should therefore be considered speculation.
If Vision is reconnecting with his son Tommy, and Billy is also likely to appear in the series, the chances of their mother, Wanda, making an appearance could increase as well. A reunion with Wanda would add another layer to Vision’s journey.
However, the last time we saw Wanda was at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she appeared to sacrifice herself.
There are rumours suggesting that she could be one of Doom’s witches in Avengers: Doomsday. If that is the case, I doubt she will appear in VisionQuest, as she will be busy doing work for someone else this whole time.
Takeaways
Now you know about VisionQuest’s release date and time in India, along with more story and cast details.
I am personally quite excited about VisionQuest, as I loved both previous entries in this trilogy, WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Both shows offered something different from the usual superhero formula, focusing on complex characters, mystery, and themes that go beyond action and comedy.
They also proved that Marvel can experiment with different styles while still connecting everything to the larger MCU. I hope VisionQuest follows the same approach.
