The Matrix is re-releasing before 4th movie
‘Warner Bros. India’ has confirmed that they will re-release the 1st MATRIX movie before the release of the 4th movie in the franchise, The Matrix Resurrections.
The Matrix re-release date in India will be 03 December 2021. It will be available in normal 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX formats in the country.
This will be a limited release, meaning only for about a weekend and a very limited number of shows in your city. Only about 1-5 multiplexes per city are been chosen to re-release it.

Here are the major Indian cities where this movie will be available to watch during this time: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi and Mumbai.
Matrix 4 will release in India on December 22 with Priyanka Chopra in it.
One important thing to remember is that most cities have only 2-10 shows per day. So, you might not get many options for when to watch it.
Also, keep in mind that it is an ‘A’ certificate movie, only for people above the age of 18.
The Matrix in IMAX?
This will be the first time ‘The Matrix’ is coming to an IMAX screen. While, both 2nd and 3rd films were released in IMAX in 2003, but the first debut movie didn’t release in this format ever before.
The IMAX release will also happen in the USA on December 7 and 8. This is all done to promote the upcoming 4th movie in the series and set the hype for that.

However, this movie was not originally shot with IMAX cameras. Most likely they will digitally enhance the picture and audio quality using their DMR (Digitally Remastering) technology, which they have done for many other old movies.
Still, this movie is known for its amazing Visuals, Virtual reality-based Sci-Fi story, and showcasing the ‘Bullet-time’ effect for the very first time.
It became a massive hit among the audience and went on to make $463 Million worldwide. However, the sequels didn’t receive such great success.
