Guardian Gears is the manufacturer of high-end premium motorcycle luggage. The idea came when the entrepreneur couldn’t find any good store to buy riding gear for his bike.
They sell Tank bags, Tail bags, Saddlebags, Tank pouches and backpacks for motorcycle enthusiasts. These can fit on almost all motorcycles.
They own a shop as well as have 70 other stores selling these products across India. These are also available on many known online marketplaces.

The Ask was for ₹30 lakhs for 5% equity. They want to build an international business in motorcycle luggage and become India’s no1 brand in this category.
In FY 2020-21, their sales were ₹1.5 crores via online channels with 40% from their own site only.
All sharks liked the production quality of the bags but still, they didn’t get a deal. Ashneer was out because he thought it was a very niche market. Aman was out also because the brand building is tough in this segment.
But then, Vineeta, Peyush and Anupam offered a joint deal for 30% stakes. But they had many conditions attached like changing the logo (because it was similar to Harley Davidson) and closing the offline store. It was really a ‘sharky’ offer as Peyush said.
Pitchers tried to negotiate to 15% but no one agreed. In the end, they got no deal in the show.

Tasneem & Ismail Badri are the couple co-founders of Guardians Gears. Their business is based in Secunderabad, Telangana.
Ismail was already a manufacturer of such items and his wife was a sales executive in their store. Then, they decided to create their own brand to make it big.
After Shark Tank Updates
While they didn’t get a deal in the tank, we still believe it would have been a great day for Ismail because he was a big fan of the US version of Shark Tank and he reached the stage of the Indian version.
They at least got free marketing and brand recall on a national platform. Let’s see what future updates we get from them.
