The fabulous duo of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reunited for a new film about one of the biggest shoes in history! Find out when is AIR releasing in India and USA.

AIR movie release date in the USA

While it was initially scheduled for a direct-to-stream premiere, it was so good that they decided to go to the cinemas.

AIR was released in the USA & UK on 05 April 2023. It was distributed by Amazon in the USA and worldwide by Warner Bros Pictures. But it was available in limited theatres for a limited period of time. Still, it got raving reviews from critics for its amazing screenplay.

They even released a Super Bowl Ad to promote, which managed to get it a decent box office as well. It will then move to Prime Video as its official OTT platform.

So, if you are a Jordon Fan who loves their shoes, this becomes a must-watch for you.

AIR movie release in India

AIR movie will directly release on Amazon Prime Video in India on 12 May 2023. It will be available in these languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. It didn’t have any theatrical release in the country, which they already announced before.

We don’t know the exact reason behind this decision. Usually, such “indie” types of films don’t sell many seats in theatres, but still, they should have tried it on a small scale. But maybe since it is an Amazon Studios distribution, they were looking for exclusivity in India.

By the way, you can also watch Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 in India from 05 May.

Who’s in the Cast?

AIR has a great star cast including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, and Chris Tucker. Everyone’s performance was praised by the audience. The story is written by Alex Convery, but Affleck & Damon did some additional changes as well.

About The Movie

Directed by Ben Affleck, this sports drama flick tells the story of how the biggest shoe line in the world: AIR Jordon, got invented and how NIKE partnered with Michael Jordon in one of the biggest deals of the century.

It was the second Amazon film to play on the big screen because they got a very good reception from the test screenings. And we that they have collected around $85 Million from the box office, which is obviously a better thing than giving it for free.

Please also note that AIR has got an ‘R’ rating in the USA for strong language, and a 15-year age rating in the USA. So, don’t think it is completely suitable to enjoy with your kids.

Finally, here is the official synopsis for you to summarise all this (via amazon.com): “AIR reveals the game-changing partnership between a then undiscovered Michael Jordan and Nike’s fledgling basketball division which revolutionized the world of sports and culture with the Air Jordan brand.”
