Say Hi to the first Marvel Disney+ series of 2026. While there was not much excitement around this Wonder Man show, the reviews are calling it one of the greatest entries from Marvel Television. So, when and where to watch it?
Wonder Man Release Date & Time in India
Marvel’s Wonder Man series will release in India on 28 January 2026 at 7:30 AM. It will be streaming on JioHotstar.
However, there is no update from Hotstar on whether they will dub it in Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu. Looks like it is not happening, as it had already happened before for many Marvel shows before as well.
The official US premiere date is set for 27 January, but due to the time difference, we will get on the next morning.
The reviews are calling it one of the best entries from the MCU. It’s filled with comedy and a dynamic duo of Simon & Trevor. Also, there is a lot of talk of Hollywood in it, a love letter to the craft of acting.
There are 8 episodes in the series with a runtime of around 30 minutes each. These are titled:

- Episode 2: “Self-Tape”
- Episode 3: “Pacoima”
- Episode 4: “Doorman”
- Episode 5: “Found Footage”
- Episode 6: “Callback”
- Episode 7: “Kathy Friedman”

Note that all 8 episodes will be available to stream on JioHotstar on the release date. This is a binge drop like the Netflix model, not a weekly release schedule, which is something new for Marvel.
By the way, HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is also on JioHotstar, a new show in the Game of Thrones universe.

Marvel’s TV slate keeps getting weirder and more interesting. This time, Wonder Man mixes superhero lore with Hollywood satire.
The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man. He is a superhero who also happens to be an actor, and wants to play the role of the fictional in-universe superhero, also called Wonder Man.
He is accompanied by Ben Kingsley, returning as Trevor Slattery, the MCU’s most “best actor”.
One of the co-creators and directors is Destin Daniel Cretton, who gave us Shang-Chi (2021), and is also making Spider-Man Brand New Day this year. Maybe that’s why it is so good.
There is less action and more comedy. It is one of Marvel’s more offbeat adaptations, and that’s exactly why it stands out. Maybe the hardcore comic readers will not like this so much, but I think Marvel must add new types of genres to its catalog to stay relevant.

“Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man”. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.”

When they first announced that all episodes would drop at once, I really thought it was not that good. They were not trusting that audiences would watch it weekly. But now the reviews are good, and I am excited to see what’s new it’s going to add to the whole MCU saga.
At least for me, Wonder Man feels closer to Marvel experimenting again: less universe-saving and more character-driven. Something I loved about Thunderbolts and Agatha All Along recently.
