Now that you have all this information, you might want to check which is the best format to watch this movie? Let’s clear it out.

Will it be in 3D and IMAX format?

First of all, Indiana Jones 5 is not converted in 3D format. So, you can only enjoy it in good old 2D. But what about IMAX?

Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny will be screened in IMAX theaters. You will get better visuals and audio quality. But note that there will be no scenes in expanded IMAX aspect ratio.

So, IMAX is good but Dolby is also better for this feature. Both are the best formats to experience this one last ride.

By the way, Marvel’s Secret Invasion is also streaming on Hotstar at the same time.

About the Movie

Fun fact is that there were always plans for 5 Indy flicks. So, it has to be made. Shooting began in 2021 with a budget of around $300 million, Indiana Jones 5 is here.

Harrison Ford is leading the cast list, along with Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, and John Rhys-Davies.

Logan director James Mangold is directing it, making it the only film in the franchise not to be made by StevenSpielberg. George Lucas is also not involved in the production. That might be a bump but still Nostalgia will be a big factor for the audience.

Finally, here is the official synopsis of the film (via lucasfilm.com): “Indy is up against time itself, both in hunting the titular Archimedes’ dial, which is said to have mystical properties, his own mortality, and the consequences of his decisions thus far. In fact, the fifth film in the franchise finds Indy as we’ve never seen him before: older, but perhaps not yet wiser, and at loose ends with his professional and personal life, including a meeting with his estranged goddaughter, Helena Shaw, played by Indy newcomer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, amid the backdrop of an ever-changing world.
